Terms and Conditions
Driver’s requirements
The driver must be between 23 years and 65 years of age and in possession of a current local or valid overseas international license with qualified driving experience of at least 2 years. Malaysian “P” license holders are not accepted.
Besides driving license, the driver shall provide a copy of passport or local identity card for documentation.
Rental rates
Daily rental rates cover a full 24 hours rental with unlimited mileage. Excess hour will be charged for late return. Rental rates are subject to 6% Service Tax.
Insurance
Our rental rates include coverage of third party property damage up to 3 million and unlimited for 3rd party bodily injuries and passenger liability.
With Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) inclusive in the rental rates, Hirer is carries the maximum Non-waiverable Excess as follow:
Car Group Non-Waivable Excess
Economy RM 1,500.00
Compact RM 1,500.00
Sedan RM 2,500.00
MPV RM 2,500.00
SUV RM 2,500.00
Luxury RM 5,000.00
The above Non-waiveable Excess is for each and every accident involving damage to the rented vehicle and which will be borne by the Hirer, irregardless of whether Hirer is at fault or not. Missing or damage of accessories and deep scratches or dents (which are not caused by accident) are not protected by purchase of CDW. A standard motor insurance will not cover certain losses which shall be at the full responsibility of the Hirer, such as:
- Flood, windstorm, rainstorm, typhoon, hurricane, volcanic, eruption, earthquake, landslide/landslip, subsidence or sinking of the soil/earth or other convulsion of nature
- Breakage of glass in windscreen or windows
- Strike, riot and civil commotion
- Testing purposes
The Theft Protection is inclusive in the rental rates. In the event of vehicle stolen or vehicle missing, the Hirer will be liable to the Non-waiveable Excess as above.
However, above clause will considered null and void should the Hirer driving the rented car under influence of alcohol or drug, carry any drug product, not an authorized driver, left the car key inside the car (careless mistake), and etc.
PAI provides coverage of up to RM100,000.00 per car at RM10 per day or RM70 per week (subject to the terms and conditions of current engaged insurance company).
Payment
WSRAC accept cash, debit card and major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express for rental payment.
But we will still require credit card for security when renting a car. The credit card must be in the name of the main hirer. We will require to preauthorization on your credit card for excess liability amount upon pick up of vehicle.
Cancellation and refund policy
- There shall be no refund for any cancellation of booking.
- No refunds or credit will be issued for no show or non utilized rental day.
- Changes or transferability of confirmed booking name are not permitted.
Traffic or parking related offences
The hirer is also responsible for summons or fines issued by the Malaysia Traffic Police, Road Transport Authorities, or local municipal authorities, incurred during the rental period.
WSRAC has the right to charge to hirer credit card for any summons or fines during the rental period. An additional RM 31.80 administration fee will be charged to the hirer over and above any fine and penalty cost for any violation arising from hirer use of the vehicle.
Petrol
WSRAC vehicles are supplied with a full tank or whatever the level given, and the hirer is required to return the vehicle with the similar amount, otherwise the refueling will be charged to the hirer according to WSRAC Petrol Rate Chart.
Extension or early termination of Rental
Should the hirer wish to extend the rental, it is most important WSRAC be advised immediately in order that the insurance coverage is extended. Failure to do so may mean that the hirer is driving the vehicle without insurance.
Should the hirer wish to early terminate the rental after car collection or delivery, the rental payment made is not refundable.
Breakdown Service
WSRAC has established WS Auto Assist (WSAA) team assist our customers in the event of an unfortunate emergency situation, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. Just contact us at 03-2700 1722 or 016-228 1450 on the spot.
Collection and Delivery Service
These are chargeable from a minimum of RM30.00 and above per delivery or collection, depending on the distance and accessibility of the destination.
Entry into Singapore and Thailand
WSRAC vehicles are prohibited from being driven into these countries.
Hirer Responsibilities
All vehicles in the WSRAC fleet are designated as non-smoking cars. If this policy is violated, WSRAC may apply a cleaning fee to the Hirer.
The Hirer is liable for all interior upholstery if vehicle is returned with dirtied interiors. The Hirer is also liable for all interior and exterior damages and / or defects caused which do not fall within the normal usage of the vehicle.
The Hirer is liable for all damages to instruments, knobs and fitting in the vehicle.
The Hirer is liable for all missing, stolen or broken parts during the rental period or vehicle returns unless the rental vehicle is damaged at the same time during an accident. For example: Baby seat, GPS Navigator, Spare tires, rims, tools & jacks, lamp, audio set, gear lock, lighter, wiper, switch & control button, mats, rear view mirror and side view mirror, sun visor, head rest and etc. Lost or damage of the above supplementary parts or accessories will be the responsibility of the Hirer.
The Hirer is liable for all replacement cost which includes a new set of keys and security system and or whatever items pertaining to the loss of vehicle keys and vehicle alarm system.
WSRAC is not liable for any missing, broken, stolen of the Hirer’s belongings during vehicle returns for servicing and maintenance. The Hirer is advisable to remove their valuable belongings during vehicle returns for servicing and maintenance.
